9to5Mac Really?

What do I think?

Im skipping this iPhone. The reason why I am doing that is because it is indeed a design flaw. The Glass on the new phone goes all the way to the edge. There is no protection like the prior iphones where the glass is recesses in. The weakest point of that glass piece is the corner.

We pay a Apple premium because we expect good quality. We expect a better product compare to the other crappy companies. That was something Apple pride itself in. It seems that is not the case anymore. You ask who cares about the volume controls being inverted, well I do care. Im expecting quality here, after all it is Apple we are talking about no?

Here is what I think, 9to5mac is nothing but a bunch of Apple apologetic fools. The Gizmodo Buffoons are no better. Apple is no longer the same company is used to be 5 Years ago.

Apple Quality Control Goes Down The Tubes

Seems like Apple is having some serious issues with quality control. This is unacceptable and is unlike Apple. I personally believe that Apple is starting to sacrifice quality so they can make profit with high sells. For shareholders this is good =) for consumers this means there is hell to pay for being a early adopter.

Steve Jobs to iPhone 4 Owners: Stop Holding the Phone Wrong

Now you see what I meant when I said yesterday that I knew the reason why Apple decided to start selling iPhone Cases.

I honestly believe that Apple knew this was going to happen, this is why they decided to make the cases themselves. The iPhone 4 is going to be the first phone that requires a case for it to work properly. Apple is going to make a killing selling these babies at 29.99 each.

iPhone 4 Reception Issue While Holding the Phone?

This is not good. Seems like this problem is not widespread but it certainly is enough to make it to the first page of MacRumors. After reading this report I realized why Apple decided to start selling bumpers for the iPhone 4. Now imagine me with my crappy AT&T reception at my house plus the iPhone 4. This my friends is why I do not purchase things when they first come out. You are nothing but a Beta tester. I rather sit back, let the product mature and buy the 3rd or 4th revision.

Now, if you take this problem and add the Retina display problem, you have a huge amount of possible defective phones out there. This is going to put a strain on the already dwindling iPhone stock. So don’t be surprised if you will still see shortages of iPhones for a long time.

Some iPhone 4s Experiencing Display Discoloration?

Ok so does this mean that the retina display has cataracts? I know I know bad joke… But who said I was a comedian anyway? Here is to hoping that this is not a common problem. It would suck if you have been waiting this long only to get a defective iPhone.

Walt Mossberg’s iPhone 4 Review.

Straight to the point.

Just as with its predecessors, I can’t recommend this new iPhone for voice calling for people who experience poor AT&T reception, unless they are willing to carry a second phone on a network that works better for them.

For everyone else, however, I’d say that Apple has built a beautiful smartphone that works well, adds impressive new features and is still, overall, the best device in its class.

Unfortunately for me this is a deal breaker. What irks me he most is that AT&T does not even bother to fix their network problems at least not here in rural Wester PA. After multiple phone calls to customer service, and multiple checkins via AT&T coverage reporting app, nothing has been done.

The only hope for those of us who suffer from bad AT&T service is for Apple to bring in a Carrier into the mix.

Hi My Name Is Suckerberg And I Hate The iPhone

Hi my name is Suckerberg and this week I got an iPhone. Never mind that the new iPhone 4 is coming out in less than 2 weeks. I hate the iPhone cause the battery sucks just like Twitter………………

This guy is what I call a Douchenerd, the combination of Nerd + Douche-bag. Eventually his arrogant attitude will result in the demise of Facebook. Hey Suckerberg why don’t you fix the Facebook iphone app before you go bitching about battery life on 1 year old technology.

The Future Of iOS

On my WOW…. Just WOW post earlier this week I talked about how Apple will be using their newly named OS in new products. So I would like to elaborate a bit more on this statement.

The fact that Apple decided to rename the OS should not come as a surprise. All Apple is doing here is letting people know that iOS is not just a phone OS. iOS plus A4 means that Apple has the perfect platform to build new products with. Don’t be surprise to see a new version of the Apple TV using this mix of OS and chip.

As we know Apple likes to have control over Hardware as well as Software. This has always been the case with the Mac, and it will be the same now with their portable line of products. This is one of the negative aspects Google has going with their Android platform. There is just to much fragmentation of both the OS and hardware.

This lockdown of hardware and software is what enables Apple to work on features as opposed to spending to much time writing drivers and what not. It also means that Apple does not have to worry about compatibility with a huge arrays of hardware. As it stands right now Google has 30+ devices and most of them have very different hardware. This huge array of hardware means that Google has to build different version of Android OS, this also makes for a bloated distribution. In some cases manufacturers like HTC might even take longer to release a new version of the OS. This is mainly due to the extra customizations manufacturers might build in Android.

A lot of people dislike the lockdown Apple has on their platforms, but the reality is that if it wasn’t for Apples way of doing things we would probably have just another windows mobile in our hands. Trust me the last thing we need now is another Windows mobile OS……
