Well this was bound to happen. As Apple products become more popular, hackers will realize that there is a huge amount of money to be made. Hopefully this will get sorted out soon. BTW happy 4th of July!

When I recommend something is because I have used it, it also means that it is something that I really like. Usually I reserve my opinions when I am asked about something that I have not used or have little experience in.
With that said, it really infuriates me when you have companies like Twitpic asking like this. I started using Posterous about 1 year ago, it was my last attempt as blogging. For the longest time I always wanted to keep a online journal of my ramblings. Posterous did the job just fine, whats best it integrates pretty well with Facebook and Twitter which is a good plus.
You miigth be asking where i am going with this. Well let me cut to the chase.

What do I think?
Im skipping this iPhone. The reason why I am doing that is because it is indeed a design flaw. The Glass on the new phone goes all the way to the edge. There is no protection like the prior iphones where the glass is recesses in. The weakest point of that glass piece is the corner.
We pay a Apple premium because we expect good quality. We expect a better product compare to the other crappy companies. That was something Apple pride itself in. It seems that is not the case anymore. You ask who cares about the volume controls being inverted, well I do care. Im expecting quality here, after all it is Apple we are talking about no?
Here is what I think, 9to5mac is nothing but a bunch of Apple apologetic fools. The Gizmodo Buffoons are no better. Apple is no longer the same company is used to be 5 Years ago.

Seems like Apple is having some serious issues with quality control. This is unacceptable and is unlike Apple. I personally believe that Apple is starting to sacrifice quality so they can make profit with high sells. For shareholders this is good =) for consumers this means there is hell to pay for being a early adopter.

Some people seem to have problems griping their new iPhone 4, I guess the excitement is to much to bear so they end up dropping their brand new phone. One thing you will learn with time is that Apple customers are very critical about flaws in their product, and rightfully so. After all we are paying a premium aka”Apple Tax”.
So when people find out that something is not performing up par with what Apple promised, then everybody tends to jump on the flaming bandwagon. And this is what has happened after the in-depth examination the new iPhone has received.
So why exactly is this new extra strong glass breaking you might ask? Simple, there is no bezel to absorb the blow. in other words, if you drop your iPhone more than likely it will land on one of its corners, and end up breaking the glass. This can be attributed to the fact that glass is at its weakest in the corner parts.
If you ever find your self having to break a glass door then it would be best to hit it in one of the four corners instead of attempting to smash it by hitting square in the middle. Hitting glass in the middle will allow for the blow to be absorbed. But if you hit it in one of the corners then there is not much surface left for the blow to be absorbed.
Prior iPhones had a protection layer in their corners that shielded the glass from receiving a direct blow. The new iPhone does not have such luxury, the glass extends all the way to the corner of the phone and it is completely exposed. I’m not sure if this is an actual design flaw, but I would venture to say that the next version of the iphone should take the approach taken by the iPad where the glass is surrounded by the metal bezel and has a rubber material that is sandwiched between the glass and the metal casing.
Take this problem and the reception problem and this new iPhone turns out to be the “iPhone that must be used with a case”.
